life in furnald part deux

so I'm settling into life in a single. it's sometimes lonely but it's also really posh. I've actually had a steady stream of visitors for 3 days so I'm rarely ever alone in my room unless I'm going to bed.

I've been to three straight sailing team parties all weekend. the new freshmen are promising.

today, I went to the gym first thing in the morning and then showered and made myself a pb&j sandwich. later, miguel met me on the furnald lawn while I read plato's republic and we discussed crazy topics like we always do. I bought a crossword puzzle book, baking soda [for my smelly fridge] and sticky tack.

I have this new idea for life. it's called not getting too wasted and then being hungover. it's working so far. I was only hungover once over the summer and I would like to keep my quality of life at that level. being hungover wastes almost the whole day and you feel like crap and it's not even legitimately feeling like crap, like when you have the flu. then you can say, "I have the flu" and it's not your fault. unless you purposely never wash your hands. but that's not the point. when you're hungover, there's no one to blame but yourself. so I'm taking charge of my life and being bouncy 24/7.

I also bought a pseudo nalgene and while I love it, I tend to spill on myself a lot. like just now. now all I need is an iPod and I will totally be hip when I go to the gym. nalgenes and iPods are the discmans and sports bottles of the 2000's.
